Eligibility for Clubsafe Certification requires clubs to meet the minimum operating requirements outlined below.  By signing up to Clubsafe Certification, you are illustrating best practice for clubs and will receive the outlined benefits.

What is required?

Membership/Affiliation to a Scottish Governing Body (SGB)

Evidence of membership/ affiliation with the relevant SGB where one exists, to ensure recognised standards are met.

Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults

For organisations who provide services to individuals under the age of 18 (youth) or vulnerable adults the following must be evidenced:

  • A designated Child Protection or Vulnerable Adult Officer.
  • Officer training (valid within 3 years)
  • Child Protection & Wellbeing Policy.

PVG Membership

Confirmation that all staff, coaching and volunteers that are supervising or managing children (U18) or vulnerable adults are part of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Membership Scheme.
